There are generally 2 ways to recover your password yourself. The first method consists of sending us your laptop's service tag number/key/error code (these values are generally displayed on the laptop screen after 3 incorrect password attempts, or on a sticker located beneath the laptop). We then take that information to generate you password. The service usually takes 12-48 hours. The password will be emailed to you.

The second method consists of replacing a special security chip located on your laptop's motherboard. We DO NOT provide this method, as you can easily damage your laptop or void any existing warranty.

We recover laptop bios passwords only. We DO NOT recover hard drive passwords. If your hard drive has a password, it cannot be removed by reformatting the drive. If you try installing a new hard drive on your laptop, that hard drive will usually become password protected as well. If your laptop hard drive is locked, contact us. We *may* be able to recover the password or at least point you in the right direction.

We can currently retrieve the password for all manufacturers listed below. All Dell/Sony/Fujitsu models are supported. For any other manufacturer, you will need to try entering 3 incorrect password attempts. If an error code is displayed on the screen after a few bad password attempts, we will be able to recover your password. If no error code is displayed, your model probably isn't supported.
